Welcome to Transfer Playlist for My Music! We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your data when you use the Transfer Playlist for My Music app provided by Emirhan Baskaya.
Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in our Terms of Service. If you do not want your information processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy in general or any part of it, you should not use our Service. This policy applies to all users of the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information about you:
(a) Information You Provide Us Directly
We may ask for certain information when you purchase a subscription or correspond with us. We also collect any messages you send us through the Service. We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of the Service to you, to correspond with you, and to address any issues you raise about the Service. If you don't provide your personal information to us, you may not be able to access or use our Service or your experience of using our Service may not be as enjoyable.
(b) Information We Collect for Core Functionality
To provide playlist transfer services, we access the following through official platform APIs:
- Playlist Metadata: When you initiate a transfer, we read your playlist names, song titles, artist names, and album names from your source music platform. This data is used solely to match and recreate your playlists on the destination platform.
- Music Platform Access: You connect your music accounts through each platform's own sign-in: Google OAuth for YouTube Music, Apple's MusicKit authorization for Apple Music, and the Spotify app for Spotify. We never see or store your passwords.
- Access Tokens: To run a transfer on our servers, the App sends the access token for the YouTube or Apple Music account involved in that transfer to our backend. These tokens are used only for that transfer and are deleted from our servers when the transfer finishes.
- Platform User IDs: We may receive a unique user identifier from a music platform to facilitate API access and playlist operations.
(c) Information We Receive from Third-Party Applications
We may receive information about you from third parties. For example: If you authenticate with a music streaming platform, we may receive information such as the user ID and display name associated with your account. We may also receive information from third-party payment processors (such as Apple) regarding your subscription status.
(d) Information We Collect from You Automatically
We collect analytics data to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service. This may include:
- App usage patterns and feature interactions (for example, screens viewed and buttons tapped)
- Transfer outcomes, such as the services involved, number of songs, match rate and error data
- General device information (device model, operating system version, app version, country)
Analytics events are linked to a random app user identifier created by our subscription provider. They are not linked to your name or email address.
(e) Device Identifiers and Attribution
We do not access the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. If you installed the App from an Apple Search Ads advertisement, we may receive an anonymous attribution token from Apple (AdServices) that tells us which campaign led to the install. If you allow notifications, we store a push notification token so we can tell you when a transfer has finished.
(f) Log File Information
We may collect information such as your app interactions, feature usage, error logs, and how you interact with the Service.

3. Sharing Your Information
(a) How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the Service:
- Music platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube / Google): to read the playlists you choose and create them on the destination you choose
- MusicAPI (musicapi.com): a music data service we may use to look up songs on some platforms during matching
- Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, Hosting): to run transfers on our servers, store transfer records, send notifications and configure the App
- Mixpanel: product analytics
- RevenueCat and Apple: to process and manage subscriptions
(b) Sharing in Connection with Business Transactions
Your information may be transferred as part of business deals like mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales.
(c) Sharing with Authorities
We may share your information in accordance with our Terms of Service, to comply with legal obligations, or as required by law.
4. Data Processing and Storage
Transfers run on our servers (Google Cloud Functions), so you can close the App while a transfer is in progress:
- Playlist metadata (playlist names, song titles, artist names) is read from your source platform, matched against the destination platform's catalog, and written to your destination platform
- For each transfer we keep a transfer record in Google Cloud Firestore: the services involved, playlist names, the songs that were and were not matched (including the matched song or video IDs), progress and status, and a push notification token. The App uses this record to show you the progress and the result of your transfer. Transfer records are deleted automatically 30 days after the transfer starts
- Access tokens sent for a transfer are stored separately, used only by our servers for that transfer, and deleted when it finishes
- Your YouTube sign-in (refresh token) and your app preferences are stored on your device
- When Spotify is the destination, the new playlist is created by the Transfer Playlist service account on Spotify and then added to your Spotify library
- New playlists on YouTube and Spotify are currently created as public playlists. You can change a playlist's visibility at any time in the YouTube or Spotify app
- We do not copy, download, store, or redistribute any audio or video files
5. YouTube API Services
Transfer Playlist for My Music uses YouTube API Services. By using our App, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. You can review Google's Privacy Policy for more information on how Google handles your data. You can revoke the App's access to your YouTube account via Google Security Settings.
When you connect YouTube Music, the App requests the YouTube scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube) through Google OAuth. We use it only to:
- read the titles and items of your own YouTube playlists so you can transfer them to another service, and
- create a new playlist in your YouTube account and add the transferred songs to it.
We do not upload, edit or delete videos, post comments, or access any other YouTube or Google account data. Data received from YouTube API Services is used only to complete the transfer you request and to show you its result; it is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with third parties other than the music service you choose as the destination and the service providers listed in section 3. Your YouTube refresh token is stored on your device; a short-lived access token is sent to our servers only for the duration of a transfer and is then deleted. YouTube data contained in transfer records (such as the IDs of matched videos) is deleted automatically within 30 days, as described in sections 4 and 9. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Transfer Playlist for My Music's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. How We Transfer, Store, and Protect Your Data
We transfer and store your data securely and in line with applicable laws. For data that is transmitted to our servers (such as analytics data), we implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All communication with music platform APIs is conducted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
7. Keeping Your Information Safe
Transfer Playlist for My Music uses industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including:
- OAuth 2.0 authentication for all music platform connections (we never see your passwords)
- Encryption of data in transit

8. Your Choices About Your Information
You have control over your information:

- Marketing Communications: You can opt-out of receiving promotional messages

- Transfer Records: Transfer records are deleted automatically after 30 days, and you can ask us to delete them sooner (see section 9)

9. How Long We Keep Your Information
- Access tokens sent to our servers are deleted when the transfer they were sent for finishes, and in any case within 24 hours.
